At the entrance to Montchavin, your first stop

On arrival day, it’s the walk between the car and the slopes that makes or breaks the morning. At the Village shop that walk is short: the short-stay car park is by the door and the lift-pass office is 50 m away. You can sort the whole family’s kit and passes in one go.

On Saturdays, when most people arrive, we’re open from 8:00 to 19:30 without a break. If the drive or the transfer took longer than planned, there’s no rush.

Free ski storage, so you’re not lugging kit around

The shop has free ski storage. In the evening, leave your skis and poles with us and walk back to your apartment empty-handed; in the morning, pick them up 50 m from the lifts. With kids in tow, that makes a real difference. Ask us how it works when you collect your kit.

We take boots seriously

Like Les 3 Glaciers, the Village shop has a foot scanner. It takes a few seconds, socks on, and gives us a starting point for choosing your boots. We always finish with a proper try-on, because a foot is more than a shoe size.

Our 3D foot scan page explains it all. For the little ones, see our tips on kids’ ski hire.

What you’ll find in the shop

Hire for the whole family

Piste skis, snowboards, first lessons for the kids or bigger days out: we’ll help you choose for your level.

Ski workshop

Prep and servicing during your stay; boots are dried and disinfected after every hire.

Forgotten something?

Helmets, goggles, gloves and hats to finish off your kit. See also helmets and accessories.

Concierge drop-off

The shop is a drop-off point for the Just Ride and Alpissime concierge services.

Right by the old village

The shop sits between the resort entrance and the old village. After skiing, wander through the pedestrian lanes past wood-and-stone chalets, the chapel and a farm that’s still working. For more on the village and both our shops there, see ski hire in Montchavin.

Sam Rochet and his team have been welcoming skiers in Montchavin for more than 25 years. We know the resort inside out, so ask us which run is skiing best or when to head over to La Plagne.
